Patent counsel advises on jurisdiction-specific requirements and strategy; we confirm the instruction and document timetable for your matter.
What about the prosecution stage?
Foreign associates prepare jurisdiction-specific substantive work, with your and your counsel's input as agreed. Patent International coordinates reporting and upcoming actions within the agreed workflow. Decisions, documents and approvals may still be needed from you or your counsel.
What about my outside counsel?
Your existing counsel can remain involved. Choose copied correspondence, substantive review, or direct counsel-to-associate communication after filing. We agree the roles and selected jurisdictions with you and your counsel.
Is Patent International a law firm?
Patent International coordinates the agreed services and does not provide legal advice. Appropriate patent counsel and foreign associates perform substantive legal work. PIAI supports selected operational workflows within Patent International; it is not a separate law firm or contracting entity.
